Look how short the genoa track is on this '96 centerboard (2 ft.).   It barely reaches the pop-top.

 


On the '99 centerboard, the genoa track almost reaches the winch mounted near the cockpit.  The longer track allows for much greater control of jib shape.  The genoa tracks and lead blocks appear similar on both the '99 centerboard and '99 wing-keel.
